Raj and Dali

Raj and Dali are newlyweds. Well…I think they still are! They got married in India and are living there now, but had their wedding reception not long ago here in Ottawa where they celebrated with their family and friends. Just a few days before, I had a chance to get to know these two when I met up with them for a sushi stop in the Byward Market before heading over to Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm. Here are some of my faves from their ‘love shoot’ and from their bridal shoot at their wedding reception.

Chris, Kathy and Baby O

I had the privilege of spending time with this now family of three when Baby O was only six days old. For whatever reason, the fact that Baby O was close to 10lbs at birth didn’t quite register in my head. I was expecting a teeny tiny baby, but I met one of the tallest babies I’ve ever seen…EVER! But still cute as a button! Here are some of my faves from our session.

Do babies dream? What about? I think Baby O was probably dreaming when I caught this quick smile.

Chris and Kathy

Chris and Kathy are just one of those really sweet and smart couples, and it was truly my pleasure to do this pregnancy shoot with them.

They’re expecting their first born any second now – I think it’s really cool that they’ve chosen not to know, so I can’t wait to hear if it’s a boy or a girl. My guess…a beautiful baby girl. But we’ll just have to wait and see!

I have way too many faves to post here, but here are some from their session that was shot on a warm, sunny summer morning.

The sun wasn’t the only thing glowing…Kathy was too.

Andrew and Erin

To say that these two make a good couple is an understatement. In the short time that I’ve gotten to know Andrew and Erin, I can see that they’re a GREAT couple. They’re smart, wonderful, thoughtful individuals. And together…WOW. Which makes me feel honoured to have been chosen as their wedding photographer.

To Andrew and Erin – Thanks for letting me be a part of your very special day. I wish the two of you a long and happy life together. <BIG HUGS>.

And to my super talented friend Graham who was my assistant that day – Big thanks for being a rock star! <BIG HUGS>.

When I saw this on my LCD, I only thought of one word…STUNNING.

Kids are usually camera shy, but not these guys. They ASKED to be photographed! LOL.

LOVE this shot.

Wedding Candy Bars

I don’t just post random things. I mean, I usually feature my favourite shoot of the month. But…I like CANDY. And COLOUR. And I wanted to post about a trend I’ve noticed at recent shoots – wedding candy bars! How does it work? Well, a table – let’s call it a bar. Lots of bowls, vases, cylinders, tubes – filled with…yep, you guessed it – all the candy you can think of! Gum Balls. Jelly Beans. Dots. Pop Rocks. Laffy Taffy. Bubblegum. Fuzzy Peaches. Jawbreakers. M&Ms. Smarties. Hot Lips. Jujubes. Nerds. Lollies. Popeye Sticks. Turkish Delight. Yorkies. Gummies. It’s like Sugar Mountain! And I love doing these detail shots before the wedding guests arrive. You get the picture, right? Well, here’s my fave.
