Mike and Marlene’s story started almost two years ago. And it wasn’t long after Mike met Marlene that he realized he’d met his match. The girl he wanted to marry. His plus one. The one. Flash forward to their wedding day…The happy couple were surrounded by the people they love, their wonderful family and all their friends. I was honoured to have been chosen to photograph their special day and I wish Mike and Marlene the absolute best! Here are some of my faves.

Mike and Marlene are a super fun couple who are actually getting married this weekend! For their engagement shoot, we tossed around a few ideas but it was Marlene who came up with the brilliant idea to go for a hike up in the Gats. Man with the fiddle and black flies aside, it was the cutest cabin I’ve ever seen! We soon forgot the dark clouds and forecast of showers and moved on to another location for a bit of a picnic. That is, until we started thinking about food and was tempted by chip wagon fries (yes with malt vinegar and ketchup…mmmm). I had fun with these two and I can’t wait to see them on their big day. Meet Cerella’s big sister. Beautiful, smart, observant, quiet Christabel. I say quiet because we didn’t really talk all that much when we hung out at the shoot. She followed me and my camera around with her curious eyes and I took photographs of her while we sat in comfortable silence. Something tells me she might do some photography or modeling when she grows up! Check out a few of my faves.

What’s in a name? Well, in the case of four month old Cerella – aside from being unique, springtime comes to mind. In fact, I met this adorable blue eyed baby girl on a rainy, spring morning. And shortly after we were introduced, it was bath time – which Cerella just loved! We then hung out with her big sister for some photos (see previous post) and pretty soon after that, it was nap time. Here are a few of my faves from Cerella’s lifestyle/portrait shoot.

I spent a rainy Saturday hanging out with Rima and her wonderful family at their home, where I had a blast with Cerella and Christabel’s lifestyle/portrait shoot. In between shots, we talked about life and work, had some Turkish coffee (my first time ever) with homemade brownies and ate pizza with ketchup (apparently, just the way their Dad likes it). Grandma even popped by to strike a pose with the girls – priceless! As I look through all the photos from this session, I have too many favourites and so I think that Cerella and Christabel each deserve their own blog posts here. More photos to follow – please stay tuned! For now though, here’s a sneak peak of the two of them together (soooo cute).
